I have a good job that I enjoy for the most part and keep telling myself that I want to go back to school.
I do, but not to study math or history. I want to take every art class offered, photography and ceramics. And gardening!
Do they teach that?
Last year, fate intervened and I met John! He is the love of my life. The kindest man I have ever known;
he is thoughtful and outgoing, sweet and funny. A huge KU basketball fan, he lives for weekends on the boat at the lake and
spending time with his nieces and nephews.
We live 30 minutes from each other, but met at the hotel we were staying at the night before we left on a cruise.
A group of about 100 people were all going on the same cruise booked from a local travel agency. To save money, John
was rooming with an acquaintance of mine (a girl!). We flirted on the high seas and knew by the end of the cruise that
something very special had just started.
And we are engaged! John proposed on bended knee after 11 months together with a beautiful diamond ring.
He asked my parents for their blessing and plans are underway.
We will be married on September 21, 2002.
